The fourth season opens with Daolon Wong and the Enforcers still in prison ... a situation they plan to remedy. Daolon has finally amassed just the right mix of spell ingredients that will allow him summon the Shadowkhan needed to liberate them! As he chants, the "face" of the Shadowkhan forms in his cauldron, but when Daolon calls on the ninja army, no Shadowkhan appear. Instead, the Face speaks! The ethereal Face reveals himself to be Tarakudo, King of all Shadowkhan! Now, with the help of our henchmen-weary Enforcers, Tarakudo intends to reclaim his power. It is up to Jackie and the others to face this new and unknown threat before it can carry out its mission to "shroud the Earth in Shadow."

Jackie and the others leave the ruins of Shendu's palace in Hong Kong for TOKYO, JAPAN, to better provide Tohru with access to Japanese research materials -- so that they may find clues to lead them to the location of the other Oni Masks. Tohru's research uncovers the existence of an ancient Japanese DECK OF CARDS which, when properly configured, point the way to the location of the next mask. The next Oni mask is found in a Museum in Tokyo among other (non-magic) masks. Our heroes and Enforcers show up at the same time, and a scuffle for the mask ensues. RATSO winds up wearing the winning mask; demonized, he discovers he controls a TRIBE of SHADOWKHAN with razor-sharp claws. Our heroes are stunned by the realization that each Shadowkhan tribe is unique from one another -- each perhaps more fearsome than the last. Their only hope is to track down the magic Hana Fuda Cards which hold the secrets necessary to defeat this threat, a task Ratso and his army of 7-foot-tall razor-clawed ninja are determined to stop.

When the latest Oni mask winds up on the face of Jade's dog Scruffy, she turns to some of her other animal friends for help. Armed with several of the Talismans, Jade, Mordecai the Pig, Egbert the Rooster, and a Rat Talisman-powered Supermoose join forces to become the super hero team known as the Amazing T-Troop! Together they must face off against Tarakudo and save Scruffy before he is lost to the dark side forever.

As Jackie and the others battle the Enforcers over the latest Oni mask, it accidentally winds up on the face of Captain Black who is transformed into the demon version himself. But it appears that Black's strength of character is able to hold the evil influence of the mask at bay. While it initially seems Black is using his power for good, his actions grow increasingly strange. When it becomes apparent that the forces of darkness are in fact overtaking him, Jackie realizes he must keep the three other Oni masks kept in Section 13 away from him. But Black gets wind of the plan and is determined obtain the masks for Tarakudo. Quickly it becomes clear to our heroes that Black and his Shadowkhan army are too powerful to stop on their own. Their only hope is to uses the TIGER TALISMAN to split the "evil" Capt. Black from his good side, into TWO SEPARATE BEINGS (the Ying and the Yang)! With the help of the Good Captain Black, Jackie and the others must stop the evil Captain Black before he has the Enforcers don the other Oni masks and join him as Tarakudo's new Demon Generals.

For the first time, Jackie and the others are able to recover an Oni mask without it being worn by anyone. And while they have been able to collect several of the masks, they are still no closer to knowing how to defeat Tarakudo himself. That's when Jade gets the idea to ask the mask directly -- all they'll need is a little help from the reanimating power of the Rat Talisman! The reanimated mask not only proves little help, but manages to cleverly escape, only to accidentally wind up fusing to the rear end of Finn! The Demon General takes control of Finn's body, but needs to remedy his present "undignified" situation. For that he has his Shadowkhan kidnap Tohru, with the hope that the man giant can both remove him from Finn and provide the host body he needs!

After retrieving the latest Oni mask, Jackie returns to Section 13 to find an excited JADE putting together a costume that she feels is SURE to win the 'Scariest Costume' Award at her school's Haunted Halloween Fair being held that night. Hoping to challenge her for the title is Paco, who along with his hero, El Toro are there to spend the holiday with their friends. When Paco stumbles upon the newly-acquired ONI MASK he realizes this mask is certainly scary and may be JUST the thing he needs to cinch his chance at winning the costume contest. Paco unwittingly tries it on and, one magical morph later, becomes our latest ONI DEMON du jour! Now it is up to Jackie amd El Toro to save Paco who determined to show just how scary he can be!

Despite several previous failed attempts, Hak Foo finally gets to don an Oni mask, allowing him the demonic transformation he has long awaited! But when Hak Foo summons his Shadowkhan army to destroy Jackie and the others, the latest tribe of Shadowkhan is revealed to be a group of hamster-sized, seemingly harmless ninjas! After a furious Hak Foo exits without his Shadowkhan, Uncle manages to capture one of the discarded mini-Shadowkhan to use as a potential research subject. Later, at Uncle's Shop, thinking the caged Shadowkhan is begging for his cookie, Tohru can't resist dropping the snack into the cage. A feeding frenzy ensues, NOT -- as it momentarily becomes clear -- for the cookie, but rather Tohru's large shadow, which is being cast into the cage! Before losing consciousness, Tohru mugs in shock when he sees his shadow suddenly riddled with ghostly holes! Uncle, Jackie and Jade find the seemingly lifeless Tohru who, unlike them, NO LONGER CASTS A SHADOW. Uncle explains that THESE Shadowkan grow stronger by "feeding" on human shadows. So, without this essential part of one's life-force, victims are plunged into an everlasting sleep! Jackie and the others must find a way to restore Tohru's shadow and stop these new Shadowkhan from feeding on anymore.

After the latest Oni mask ends up for sell on an online auction, Jackie ends up in a fierce bidding war with the ENFORCERS. But as the online auction clock TICKS down, they're both "sniped" at the last possible moment by another bidder who turns out to be an impoverished VALMONT! Having caught wind of the Oni Mask quest, the down-on-his-luck ex-Dark Hand mastermind has spent his last penny to win the Mask -- knowing that it will provide him with his own personal army of Shadow-thieves, able to slip in and out of the world's most secure bank vaults without detection. It is up to Jackie to get the mask from Valmont before Tarakudo and the Enforcers do.

After repeated defeats at the hands of Jackie Chan, the hapless Enforcers decide to turn over a new leaf -they're going to be good guys! Under the supervision of Jackie and the others, the Enforcers adjust to a crime-free life. But when they join Jackie on a mission to find an artifact, old habits prove hard to break and they steal the valuable artifact. Jackie must now retrieve the artifact before the Enforcers lose it to a new villain who knows the artifact is actually a powerful weapon.

Jade gets the surprise of her life when the adult version of herself arrives from the future! Jade is informed by her counterpart that she is here because one day, Shendu's son, Drago, will conjured an army of Dragons and take over Section 13. The adult Jade knows the only way to save the future, is to change the past -- which she plans to do by destroying the magic Dragon Teeth that Drago will need in order to revive his father and usher in the Age of the Dragons. But standing in her way is Drago, who has followed her to the past and is determined she not succeed.

When world-class criminal Bartholomew Chang escapes from prison, the J-Team is assembled to face this threat. Jade, of course, is psyched to have the gang back in action, but Jackie reminds her she's not allowed to be part of the J-Team. Jade grouses that she can't understand why they don't let her join. She figures if her many J-Team victories can't convince the heroes to listen to her, then maybe a little of Uncle's magic will! Using Uncle's spell book, she casts a "Seniority Spell" on the unsuspecting J-Team. But instead of getting them to listen to her, the spell turns the J-Team into toddlers! Jade is now forced to play babysitter to these rambunctious J-Tots as they try to apprehend Chang!

12. Deja Vu

Jackie and Uncle set out to stop Daolon Wong from acquiring the powerful Déjà Vu Stone. Whoever possesses the stone can TRANSPORT himself into his own past simply by WILLING it. If Daolon - now powerless - obtains it, he could change the outcome of past defeats in order to regain his magic! But the stone's power is accidentally activated, sending Jackie and Daolon into their pasts! Now Uncle, with help from Jade, must guide Jackie through memorable moments of his (and the show's) past in order to bring him back to the present.

13. Ninja Twilight

After recovering the ninth and final Oni mask, Jackie places it for safe keeping in the Section 13 vault with the other masks. But when all nine masks are reunited, they are magically transformed into the original nine demon generals! Resurrected, the nine demon generals, along with Tarakudo, intend to summon enough Shadowkhan to engulf the Earth in eternal darkness! With the help of the J-Team and some Talisman magic, Jackie and the others must find a way to defeat Tarakudo and prevent this evil from overtaking the world.
