I'm sure it's again no surprise to you guys that I loved Tower of Dawn. It's easily made its way into my top 3 ToG books and most definitely a favorite read of 2018. There's just so much world building in this installment, as Chaol and Nesryn journey to Antica and the Southern Continent.

Basically, Chaol's storyline is a romance plot. I don't think anyone is surprised by this, and it's obvious from the moment Yrene first walks into his room. It was predictable, but I really loved it. If there's one thing Sarah J Maas writes well, it's this sort of romance.

Currently, I do not have any plans to write more Throne of Glass books.

Throne of Glass is fantastic, and I recommend it to all high fantasy lovers. I think it's better for older teens and adult readers due to the adult content in later books. Plus, there is a war that gets pretty gruesome at points.

Yes you are introduced to new characters who will probably play a key role in the series. But I think with some sentences here and there in the next book Sarah J Maas could perfectly allow her fans to read Kingdom of Ash without having read Tower of Dawn.

That being said, I would read the main series first, then read Assassins Blade after. Heather Throne of Glass will give you a more complete intro to the MC. This book fills in the gaps.
