I think it’s fair to say that my favorite thing to eat at Texas Roadhouse is their warm rolls with Cinnamon Honey Butter, so I was thrilled to find out how easy it was to make a copycat version at home.

Am I the only one guilty of filling up on their amazing rolls and delicious honey butter before my meal even arrives? Surely I can’t be alone here.

This sweetened butter is great on more than just rolls. Try it on toast, pancakes, French toast, waffles, regular muffins and English muffins too.

Warm English muffins are a personal favorite, because all that buttery goodness melts into the little nooks and crannies. It’s pretty much heaven in carbohydrate form.

And you didn’t hear it from me, but this stuff is pretty tasty right off the spoon. Not that I would eat butter from a spoon. That’s just what I’ve been told. Wink. Wink.

You probably have everything you need in your pantry or refrigerator to make this cinnamon honey butter right now–butter, powdered sugar, cinnamon, honey, vanilla and salt.

It’s so simple to whip up a batch, and takes all of five minutes. I like to whip my honey butter up with an electric mixer, but you can easily do it by hand if your butter is soft enough.

You do want to serve this at room temperature, but don’t warm it in the microwave because the ingredients will separate.

It can be stored at room temperature for up to a week. You can also refrigerate this butter for up to one month. Just be sure to set it on the counter at least 30 minutes before you plan to use it.

If you’re craving Texas Roadhouse, or even if you’ve never tried their rolls and butter, you’re going to love this Cinnamon Honey Butter copycat recipe.

I’m making birthday dinner for my son. On the menu is Ribeyes, baked potatoes, salad, homemade rolls with texas roadhouse butter, and pecan pie cheesecake. I hope he enjoys this meal. I think it might become his favorite with the exception of the pecan pie cheesecake. Our favorite cheesecake is my Mother-in-law’s plain cheesecake. Thanks for sharing this.

Is the powdered sugar a big main ingredient to use? Or can I go without it?

Without it the butter won’t be very sweet, so it probably wouldn’t be as good. You could try adding extra honey, but without the powdered sugar it might be a bit runny.

I somehow mixed up recipes and ended up using almost a half cup of honey, a quarter cup of powdered sugar and everything else the same, mixed it for 3 minutes and it came out really good! probably the closest I’ve gotten to TRH but also like Road to Diabetes if we made it too often…good to know I just made it like Willy Wonka though! ‍♀️

I’ve made this twice now and it’s delicious! One question though. I’ve noticed the honey separates from the butter in the fridge. I stir it up before using it but it still never fully incorporates like it did on day 1. Am I doing something wrong or using the wrong kind of butter? Thanks!

I would try using a tad bit more powdered sugar to soak up some of the honey.

Can I use the butter right away? Instead of storing it in the fridge for a month or week?

      Yes.

I used to work at and make the honey cinnamon butter at the Roadhouse…the powdered sugar is not part of the recipe FYI. They use already whipped butter, heavy whipping cream, cinnamon and honey.

Do you happen to know the exact recipe by chance? I’m making this to compliment the rolls for Thanksgiving.

This recipe is NOT a close match to the Texas Roadhouse recipe. WAY too sweet. The commenter who claimed to make this at TR says their recipe had no powdered sugar. I agree. TR butter is definitely sweet but it way more subtle than this

All the positive votes for this can’t be because it’s the same or even a close match for the TR recipe. People must just like it as is. If you’re looking for a super sweet variant of the TR butter, this is it. Otherwise keep looking

I don’t use sugar in mine or salt (I buy salted butter). But I make it for toasted King’s Hawaiian rolls and it’s the bomb (split roll, pop it into the toaster on 3)! Breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

Can confirm…THIS IS AMAZING and tastes EXACTLY like Texas Roadhouse butter. I had leftovers from there last night and made this and compared..you can’t tell the difference from this recipe to the original that I brought home.

This is a lot sweeter than TR butter but it’s still good.
